Ok, after some time working in this, I’m finally “launching” Divina Fortuna. I really hope that you like this little project of mine! Please tell me your opinion about both the comic and the site, so I can try to make it better.
Soon there will be added versions in Spanish and Italian of the pages (since I’m making them anyway).
For the time being the comic updates once a week, on Saturday-to-Sunday nights (GMT -3).
Again, I hope you like my work and stick around!
[I just added pages 0 to 5 in spanish, now they're in extras. At midnight page 5 will be also up in English]
(Please, keep in mind that even though this post is old, I keep it updated).
Hi! Thanks for considering comissioning me! I’ll try to be as clear as possible giving information, but if there’s anything you want to ask, please , e mail me to: sofiamgl@gmail.com . You can also note me in DA. You can find me here.
Well, I’ll point out some things about how I work and then give a list with estimates of what would the pieces cost and examples of such pieces.
For comissioning me just e-mail me telling me the details of the piece you want: the type of drawing you want and the content. Feel free to be as detailed or vague as you wish for the content. I’ll do mostly anything except the usual things (sexual content, excesive violence, you know the roll). I’ll reply to settle the final price, and when it’s agreed, I’ll start working in your piece.
Once the sketch is done, I’ll ask for the payment. I work via PayPal usually, but you can ask about other forms of payment and I’ll see if I can arrange it. If your piece is just a sketch you’ll have to pay when the price is settled.
Now to the prices. They’re all in USD and are estimates: this means they can be modified depending on the complexity of the piece you ask. Also, if you make a batch comission (for example a series of characters portraits) you will get a discount.
Character Pictures
It can be a character portrait, bust or fullbody.
Sketch: 3$ (+3 extra character)
Lineart: +2$ from sketch
Basic shading/Basic color: +2$ from sketch
Full painting: 10$ (+7$ extra character)
Full Pieces
Which means up to two characters and an elaborate background. Extra characters can be added but will be charged extra.
Sketch: 5$
Lineart: +5$ from sketch
Basic shading/Basic color: +5$ from sketch
Full painting: 20$
Examples will be added later.
It’s really shameful and I’ve got no good excuses for it, but there’s no update today. Page 18 should be up during this week. And then… well this is the real problem.
I’m taking a pause with the comic. I mean, I won’t stop working on it: even if I wanted to, I probably couldn’t, but there will be some kind of hiatus (eeew, I really hate that word). I thought that finishing the school year would give me more time to work on this, but the thing is it didn’t. First my cat got ill and now I’ve got some things to solve. I actually have time, but having a deadline every weekend gives me an extra stress I can’t very well handle right now.
And of course, there is the vacation thing… I’m leaving for a couple of weeks in mid January. Before that time, I’ll se if I manage to get one or two pages up, I’ll try to keep on schedule, more or less, but it really depends on my state of mind. I expect to be a little calmer when I get back. Anyway, the comic should restart NORMALLY updating on February 15th.
Anyway, I don’t want this place completely abandoned, so I’ll make a poll for you to choose what kind of fillers should I put while on pause-time. Please vote, because if nobody does I’ll take it that there’s no interest and won’t update till February (except maybe if I finish some page. After all, that’s the whole sense of a webcomic, isn’t it?). Also, if you have any ideas it would be GREAT, because the only thing on my mind right now isto start with the “world” page, regularly updating with new information, but I don’t really like to give so much information of a poor, less-than-20-pages-old comic.
Ok, now THIS is the way to get new readers! (I wish there could be a way to show irony on writing…)
Ok, i’ve put up the poll. You can choose up to two things you’d like to see on the site until Divi restarts normally.
About the option of some sketchy comic, I’m really not sure. I’d like to try somthing simple, less stressing than Divi itself. I thought about doing loose pages, just on pencil. Maybe about some other story of mine or some backstory of the characters of Divi. Anyway, I’ll try if you vote for it…
